Robin MacArthur is the Executive Director of Wildwood Arts. Robin is a mother, writer, educator, one-half of the indie-folk duo Red Heart the Ticker. (And the granddaughter of John and Margaret MacArthur). She is the author of HALF WILD: STORIES (Ecco/HarperCollins), winner of the 2017 PEN/NewEngland Fiction Award, and a finalist for the New England Book Award and the Vermont Book Award. Her novel, HEART SPRING MOUNTAIN, will be published by Ecco/HarperCollins in January of 2018. She is also the editor of Contemporary Vermont Fiction: An Anthology (Green Writers Press, 2014), and her fiction and essays have appeared in Shenandoah, Orion Magazine, Alaska Quarterly and on NPR.  Red Heart the Ticker has put out three albums of place-based folk, including a neo-rendering  of some of the songs Margaret MacArthur collected and recorded throughout her career. Dan MacArthur is the Treasurer of Wildwood Arts. He has been building efficient post-and-beam buildings in southern Vermont since 1970, served as Chair of the Marlboro School Board for 35 years, currently serves on the board of the Center for Health and Learning, and drives a diesel Volkswagen Bug that he has (famously) converted into a pickup truck. He lives in a self-built, solar-powered homestead and co-owns and operates Whetstone Ledges Farm with Gail MacArthur, growing organic berries and vegetables and producing sustainably wood-fired maple syrup.

Wildwood Arts is in the process of forming an Advisory Board. We have fiscal sponsorship from The Vermont Wilderness School, a community non-profit organization that offers powerful nature-based mentoring programs for children and adults. VWS is a a non-profit 501(c)3, based in Brattleboro, VT and founded in 2000.
